Château d’Argadens | Bordeaux Superieur

2004

Superb value drinking claret from the Sichel family, owners of Château d'Angludet and Château Palmer. The wine shows amazing complexity and character for a Bordeaux costing less than £8. Very classy claret.

About Château d’Argadens
In 2002 Château d’Argadens was bought by the Sichel Family—the owners of Château Palmer, the most famous of the Super Seconds, and Château d’Angludet, a consistently superb Cru Bourgeois. Their aim was to produce a wine that would become the benchmark within the vast Bordeaux appellation and as such they have invested heavily in a vast renovation programme. The Sichels immediately reaped the rewards of their efforts, when the first vintage of Château d’Argadens was awarded Le Concours des Grands Vins de France in the top French wine competition in Mâcon.
