Domaine Joel Delaunay | Sauvignon Touraine

This is the best Sauvignon from Touraine on the market—it was recently voted one of the top 50 best value white wines in the world in the US. The Delaunay family is one of the major Sauvignon producers in the Loire Valley—this is their top cuvé carrying their family name on the label. The wine is cold-fermented and left on its 'lees' for 3 months to enhance its flavour and richness. A really top quality wine at a highly affordable price.

Our tasting notes

Very pale gold in colour with herbacious, green and fresh aromas. Full-bodied, rich and complex with lots of character. A long and satisfying finish. Bottled with a Stelvin screwcap closure which preserves its freshness. A delicious glass of wine—perfect on its own or with seafood.

About Stelvin closures

Stelvin closures are ideal for young fresh white wines and rosés—never another bottle of corked wine (the industry average is between 1-2%). The closures are a much more effective seal than corks and slow down the aging process considerably, hence they are perfect for wines that are best drunk young and fresh. They are not suitable for red wines that meant to be aged. They are also highly practical—easy to open and reseal in the unlikely event of not finishing the bottle.
