1 bottle Ruffin et Fils Cuvée de Reserve, Champagne NV
An incredibly delicious and yet affordable champagne from the family run house of Ruffin on the hillside of Etoges. It is pale in colour with a full and expressive bouquet, characterised by fresh citrus fruits and hints of brioche. This is delicious stuff that we will be drinking lots of this Christmas. Also comes in Magnums.

2 bottles Saint-Véran “Merloix” White Burgundy 2007
A wonderful creamy rich Saint-Véran from the Burgundian House of Pierre Janny that has won countless awards. The wine is everything you would expect...and more.

2 bottles Château Richemont Rosé, Bordeaux 2006
A magnificent Merlot-based Rosé made and blended for us by Château de Sours, producers of 'possibly the best Rosé in the world' (the late Auberon Waugh). This is everything you would expect and more from a Rosé from Château de Sours. The best there is—simply delicious. We don't have an enormous quantity of this wine so we suggest you order early.

2 bottles Mas Carlot Cuvée Tradition, Costières de Nîmes, Rhône 2007
Our new find from the Costières de Nîmes in the Southern Rhône. Robert Parker says it all: 'this excellent estate continues to turn out superb bargain priced wines that consumers should seek out for relief from increasingly higher priced wines.' Stunning young fresh wine—if only all wine at this price level could be as good as this.

2 bottles La Reserve Claret, Bordeaux 2006
Our house claret selected from Saint-Emilion vineyards and blended exclusively for us by larger than life Jonathan Maltus, producer of Château Teyssier and Le Dôme, one of Saint-Emilion’s greatest (and most expensive) wines. This is a really superb everyday wine and is much more than just a normal claret.

2 bottles Saint-Julien, Saint-Julien Bordeaux 2000
A stunning bargain: wine from the legendary 2000 vintage from the vineyards of one of the St-Julien 'super second' classified growths owned by the Borie family—at a fraction of the price of the Château wine, which Robert Parker describes as 'the essence of elegance, symmetry, balance, breed, class and distinction.' Comes in wooden cases. This is very high-class, fully-mature claret.

1 bottle Margaux, Margaux Bordeaux 2004
Spectacular parcel of a wine declassified from the most famous of the 3rd Growth Margaux whose 2004 sells for £1000+ a case and has a great following in the UK. This is very high-class Claret indeed that it is just beginning to drink really well now and will last for many years.

1 copy of Everyman’s Library’s beautifully-bound edition of Charles Dickens’ Little Dorrit
Little Dorrit tells the story of the Dorrit family and the rich array of characters they encounter on their way from rags to riches and back again with his unique literary perspective on the social melodrama of those days. The comparison with today makes this a fascinating read with a large glass of wine at your side.
