Bordeaux is renowned throughout the world for its red wines—it also make some spectacularly good dry white wines that tend to get overlooked and are normally priced at well below what they should be. This is an excellent example of what really good, modern well-made white Graves is all about.

Our tasting notes

Pale, clear colour with a trace of green. The nose opens into a bouquet of fresh gooseberry Sauvignon flavours. Excellent fruit and richness, a hint of lemon. Good acidity. A wine that is at its best now and for the next year. Perfect with shellfish, fish and all spicy foods.

About White Bordeaux

25% of all the wine made in Bordeaux is white rather than red with most of it coming from the more the more Southerly regions of this enormous appellation. The principal grape varieties are Semillon (rich, fat,lots of body) and Sauvignon (fresh, lemons, apples, leaner) which when blended together make classic balanced White Bordeaux.

Prices are all-inclusive for deliveries to UK mainland and Northern Ireland. Minimum total order is 2 cases (24 bottles of 75cl equivalent) for the UK and 5 cases (60 bottles of 75cl equivalent) for Northern Ireland. We also offer a collection service for our French wines from just outside Calais, France (minimum of 5 cases and excluding mixed cases), at a per-bottle saving of £1.50 for wines and £2.00 for Champagne, and a per-case saving of £18 for wine, £24 per 12-case/£12 per 6-case for Champagne.
