Roger Sauvestre, Chorey Les Beaune | Burgundy
1999
A spectacular, small parcel of mature Chorey Les Beaune from the legendary Burgundian 1999 vintage, where the wines have all but disappeared from the market and prices at the top end have reached £30,000 a case. Jancis Robinson described the 1999 vintage as “the most exciting I can ever remember tasting.” This is a unique opportunity to drink a really great vintage at its peak and at a price that must make it the bargain of the year—snap it up before it’s all gone.

Our tasting notes
Lovely deep crimson pinot colour with slightly tawny edge. Packed with lush fruit, gentle tannins and a hint of that ripe burgundian farmyard flavour. This is a very impressive wine at its peak that is ideal for drinking over the next couple of years. It is an experience!Wine data
