A small parcel of Luc and Patricia Bettoni’s top Cuvee. Made traditionally, with minimal intervention and extraordinary attention to every detail, this is a wine of real concentration and depth. It is delicious. Very good value for a wine of this quality and age.

Our tasting notes

Very dark, almost black wine with aged ruby rim. Extremely concentrated with a refined mix of spices, cloves, blackberry and chocolate and smooth supple tannins.

About Saint Chinian

The appellation Saint Chinian is northwest of Beziers in the Languedoc-Roussillon. It is beautiful, rugged countryside sheltered by the foothills of the Cevennes. Vines were first planted here in the 9th century and the wine made by monks. The appellation now has 3300 hectares of vines producing better and better wines—mainly big full-bodied reds which compliment the local dish, Lapin au Moutard.

 

Prices are all-inclusive for deliveries to UK mainland and Northern Ireland. Minimum total order is 1 case (12 bottles of 75cl equivalent) for the UK and 2 cases (24 bottles of 75cl equivalent) for Northern Ireland, Highlands and islands. We also offer a collection service for our French wines from just outside Calais, France (minimum of 5 cases from the same producer and excluding mixed cases), at a per-bottle saving of £1.50 for wines and £2.00 for Champagne, and a per-case saving of £18 for wine, £24 per 12-case/£12 per 6-case for Champagne.
